Description of how to get there

Cercanías RENFE. Pirámides Station. via Metro: Pirámides or Marqués de Vadillo Station (Line 5). (5 minues walk) via buses: with buses from “Buses E.M.T. (Empresa Municipal de Transportes)” with the lines 17, 18, 23, 34, 35, 36, 50, 116, 118 und 119.

Entrance area

57 entrance gates, 67 gateways inside the stadium, 40 stairways to get to the superior areas of the stadium. In case of emergency, these 57 gateways, the entrances inside the stadium as well as the 40 stairways make it possible to evacuate all visitors in a record time of six minutes.

Gateways

Thanks to the 100 gateways (there are two gates at each goal), the visitor is able to quickly enter the stadium. Every entrance has a “code system” in order to control the entrance of visitors. Consequently, the centre always knows exactly how many people are situated at what time in a certain area in order to act better and purposeful in case of problems.

Public clinics

There are two public clinics whose services can be used during the games.

Floodlight

The 220 projectors have an intensity of 2.000 lux on the pitch.

Score board

There are two big score boards located at the open corners of the stadium. (LG Vision Type, RAINBOW COLOUR. Size: 8 x 5.12 = 41sq.)

Speakers

Eight powerful amplifiers distribute the announcements to 70 speakers which are distributed everywhere in the stadium and which sound is being displayed equally to all areas. In comparison with other European stadiums the speaker’s acoustic is very good.

Locker rooms

The locker rooms for the respective teams have a scale of 820 sq. They contain, in each case, a medic room, a room in which injuries are being treated, a massage room, an anti-doping control room and two rooms for free utilization with a scale of 78 sq.

V.I.P. room (Sala V.I.P.)

Situated close to the VIP stand is a VIP room in which “special guests” have the opportunity to follow the game or to get into a conversation with other guests. In addition, there are both, a TV and a cafeteria with food and service.

Private lodges

There are 74 lodges which can be hired including service, security personnel, catering, fax, air condition, TV, wardrobe and a toilet.

Public rest rooms

There are 20 women, 26 men and four toilets for disabled people in the Estadio Vicente Calderón.

Other facilities

Around the stadium a variety of services are clustered. A bank, a garage with wash system, travel agencies, pubs and restaurants, rooms for parties, business rooms for receiving guests including service and offices. Furthermore, there are 35 bars around the stadium.
